What is RATE?
RATE is a photo-rating app and social platform where real people rate the looks you share from 1 to 10 — anonymously and honestly. It shows you how you really come across to others, and when you and someone else rate each other 8 or higher, you match and can chat. There's no swiping and nobody gets swiped away: RATE is all about honest ratings and the stats behind them.
How do I find out how I really look?
Just like any other social app, you post up to 4 photos on RATE. Real people rate each photo 1–10 with no likes, no comments, and no identity attached — so the feedback is honest. Your average score, score trend, and audience breakdown show you exactly which photos land best.
Are ratings on RATE anonymous?
Yes. Every rating is 100% anonymous — raters never see who rated whom, and a score is one person's honest opinion of a photo, never a judgement of your worth. The only exception is a match: when you BOTH rate each other 8+, RATE reveals you to each other.
How does matching work on RATE?
Rate the people you're into. If you give someone an 8, 9, or 10 and they rate one of your photos 8+ back, that's a mutual match — and a private chat opens for the two of you. No swiping, no ghost likes: matches only happen on real mutual interest.
Is RATE free?
Yes — posting photos, rating, matching, and chatting are all free. RATE Gold, the optional subscription, additionally reveals everyone who rated you 8+ and unlocks deeper analytics on how you come across.
What's the point of posting more than one photo?
Every post gets its own ratings and results, so you can compare them side by side. New haircut? Post it and see whether it scores higher or lower than your last one — an instant, honest read on what lands and what doesn't.
