How RATE works
You post up to 4 photos of yourself as one post. Real people in the app rate the post from 1 to 10, one rating per person. Once enough people have rated it, you see your average score and how many people rated, plus breakdowns by the raters' age group, gender and country. To compare photos, you post them separately and each post gets its own score.
You rate the photos in your feed too, and rating others helps your own photos get seen. If you rate someone 8, 9 or 10 and they rate you 8 or higher back, it is a mutual match and a private chat opens. You can also choose not to be matched with anyone and just rate and get rated.
Why we built RATE
Friends are kind, comments are loud and swipes are silent. None of them tell you how people really see a photo. RATE gives you an honest number from many real people, with the stats behind it, so you can pick your best photos and see which audiences respond to you.
Safety on RATE
RATE is for adults 18 and over. Every photo is checked before it goes live: it must clearly show a real person's face, with no nudity, no screenshots and no AI images. People can report and block anyone, and accounts can be private, so only approved followers see your profile and results.

Is RATE free?
Yes. Posting, rating, matching and chatting are free. RATE Gold is an optional subscription that shows who rated you 8+ and adds deeper stats.
Is RATE on the App Store?
On iPhone you open app.rate-app.com in Safari and add it to your home screen, so no App Store download is needed. It works the same way on Android and computers, and RATE is also on Google Play.
Does RATE use AI to rate faces?
No. Every rating on RATE comes from a real person. Photos are checked for safety before they go live, but nobody's looks are scored by an algorithm.
